Alexander Davis

Performer/Choreographer/Fiber Artist

Artist statement

I believe that dance, comedy, and fibers are all connected through their unifying power to create empathetic and dramatic responses from diverse audiences. Drawing from pop culture and the pedestrian I engage in performances that display the innate theatricality of everyday life. I show the universality of the human experience. I make performance that connects people to other people, the past to the present, and memories to dreams through the illumination of underrepresented queer narratives. I reveal Imperfections along a lifelong journey to discover the Perfect.
